Tessa Sutherland
Director, Senior Occupational Therapist (NSW)
Tessa is a highly experienced paediatric occupational therapist and the founding director of Asset Therapy. She is deeply passionate about supporting children, families, and communities to work together toward meaningful goals—believing that true progress happens when therapy extends beyond the clinic and into everyday life.
With a strong foundation in play-based learning and neuroaffirming practice, Tessa creates therapy sessions that are engaging, strengths-focused, and tailored to each child’s unique interests. Her approach is grounded in the belief that when therapy feels fun and purposeful, children are more likely to participate, connect, and thrive.
Tessa is especially committed to caregiver education and collaboration. She equips families with practical, easy-to-implement strategies that promote confidence and consistency at home, school, and in the community. Her clinical experience spans toddlers to teens, supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), sensory processing differences, and a wide range of functional and behavioural challenges.

Samira Serventi
Senior Physiotherapist
Samira is a high calibre, positive and friendly physiotherapist. She brings 20 years of experience working in paediatrics. In addition to helping children with physical, neurological and respiratory conditions, Samira has a special interest in treating children with Autism (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) to reach their optimum function at home and school. Hydrotherapy and other evidence based treatments are used to help her clients. She holds a Bachelor degree in Physiotherapy and is presently completing a Masters degree in advanced Physiotherapy practice in paediatrics at Monash University.
Outside of work Samira likes going to the gym, hanging with friends and studying.

Jaiden Patience
Senior Occupational Therapist (NSW)

Georgina Werninghaus
Occupational Therapist
Georgina holds a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy and a Bachelor of Health Sciences (majoring in Exercise Science, Psychology and Family Studies). Georgina is passionate about supporting and empowering children, adolescents and their families to reach goals in a collaborative, fun, neuro-affirming, and positive environment. Georgina uses a holistic approach to provide the best possible opportunities for children to build confidence, independence and enjoyment within their daily occupations.
Georgina has experience working with children of all ages and has supported children with ASD, ADHD, GDD and sensory processing differences. Georgina is knowledgeable in supporting a child’s development in a range of functional skills including social skills, emotional regulation, fine motor skills, handwriting, and self-care skills.
Georgina’s has additional training and experience in:

Laura Zahra
Occupational Therapist
Laura has an innate passion for working with children by supporting the child to develop the skills to feel successful and confident to reach their full potential. Laura brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with over 16 years working as an Occupational Therapist. She is passionate about taking a true holistic approach to therapy, individualizing interventions and addressing the unique circumstances of each child and family. She has a strong belief in collaborating with both the child and their family to support and sustain positive and genuine outcomes for each child to progress towards their goals.
With 3 children of her own, Laura recognises the essential balance between understanding child development and implementing evidence-based interventions with the practicalities of family life. Her holistic, calm and flexible approach to therapy enables the clients she works with to feel supported to have the capacity to take on new skills and strategies. Laura is knowledgeable in supporting a child’s developmental journey through a range of skills including fine motor, gross motor, executive functioning (emotional regulation and social skills), self-care skills, play and sensory processing. She regularly seeks out professional development opportunities to keep up with current and emerging evidence.
Outside of work Laura enjoys spending time with her family, caravaning, being active, or doing something creative.

Wanyé Phillips
Occupational Therapist
Wanyé, originally from South Africa, graduated from the University of Cape Town with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Occupational Therapy. His diverse career spans across hospital settings, private paediatric practice, and community-based therapy, both in South Africa and Australia. As a proudly neurodivergent individual, Wanyé is deeply committed to empowering children, adolescents, and their families through a collaborative, fun, and neuro-affirming approach. Guided by a holistic and strengths-based model, Wanyé combines his professional expertise with his lived experience to help children build confidence, independence, and meaningful participation in everyday life. Wanyé has extensive knowledge working with children with a wide range of diagnoses, including cerebral palsy, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Global Developmental Delay (GDD), sensory processing challenges, and paediatric rheumatology conditions such as juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA), hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS), and hypermobility spectrum disorder (HSD). Wanyé tailors his therapeutic approach to meet each child’s unique needs, empowering children to achieve skills such as social competence, emotional regulation, fine motor development, handwriting, self-care, and participation in everyday activities, ensuring that every child receives individualised and meaningful support.
Wanyé has completed the following additional training and experience:

Outside of work, Wanyé enjoys staying active through running, the gym, and playing water polo. He also loves travelling, being outdoors, and exploring the beauty that Australia has to offer.

Amanda Lott
Occupational Therapist
Amanda is dedicated to supporting children to reach their full potential. Amanda takes pride in making therapy engaging by incorporating each child’s unique interests, to make sessions fun and creative. Amanda enjoys working closely with children, their families and others involved, to provide the best therapeutic support and development toward individual goals.
Amanda has experience working with children of various ages and has supported children with diagnoses of Global Developmental Delay (GDD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Cerebral Palsy (CP), Intellectual Impairment and Prader-Willi Syndrome. Amanda has experience supporting children with challenges in sensory processing, fine and gross motor skills, social and play skills, emotional regulation, and toileting routines.

Justin Sutherland
Practice Manager
Justin is an accomplished Practice Manager, recognised for his dedication to delivering exceptional service and support to every client and their family. With a strong background in operational leadership and extensive experience managing multidisciplinary teams, Justin ensures the smooth and efficient running of our therapy services on a daily basis.
Justin’s approach to management is grounded in both strategic insight and a genuine commitment to people. He is known for his pragmatic optimism, combining a positive outlook with a practical, solutions-driven mindset that fosters a collaborative and supportive culture within the practice. Justin places great value on clear communication, attention to detail, and continual improvement, always striving to enhance both client outcomes and team satisfaction.
Through his leadership, Justin works to ensure every client journey is as seamless and stress-free as possible, from initial contact to ongoing care. He is passionate about maintaining the highest standards of service and operational excellence, making Asset Therapy a place where clients and staff alike feel valued and supported.
Outside of work, Justin enjoys playing golf, travelling, and spending quality time with his family.
